More convenient

PEOPLE seeking medical treatment at Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital in Hangzhou can now make appointments, pay bills and view medical reports on their mobile phones. The hospital is the first in Hangzhou to accept online payments via Alipay.

They first need to install the Alipay app on their mobile phones, then click a link to open the hospital’s page and register with their medical record serials. A registered patient can make an appointment with a doctor in a selected department and the app will inform you of the waiting time so you can do other things instead of waiting in a long queue.

After seeing the doctor, the patient can pay the bill via Alipay and check their medical report online within six months.

The hospital reserves a certain number of appointments for patients from outside Hangzhou and those who don’t use a mobile phone, hospital officials said. The app will add medical insurance payments later this year.
