The third phase of Metro Line 2, between Fengtan Road Station in Xiaoshan District and Liangzhu Road Station in Yuhang District, opened on Wednesday.

The 13.32 kilometers stretch has 10 stations including Wenxin, Sanba, Xialongxu, Sandun, Dunxiang Street, Jinjiadu and Baiyang stations.

Passengers can change to Line 5 at Sanba Station and Line 4 at Jinjiadu Station.

The new section allows passengers to commute between the city’s northwest, downtown and south of the Qiantang River.

The city aims to extend the network to 446 kilometers and 10 lines by 2022, in time for the Asian Games.
