New elevated road

Construction of an elevated road along Shixiang Road, a main artery in the city鈥檚 Gongshu District, will start before Chinese New Year.
Shixiang Road traverses Xihu, Gongshu, Xiacheng and Jianggan districts in northern Hangzhou. The 6.47-kilometer elevated road will stretch between Fengqing Road and Chuxin Road.
The project to build the four-lane elevated road and to widen the road below to six lanes will take about 18 months. When it is completed, commuters can travel from northern Hangzhou to Qianjiang New Town within 30 minutes.
