New high-tech zone

The Hangzhou Linjiang National High-tech Zone was officially inaugurated last week on the south side of the Qiantang River. It is the second national high-tech zone in the city and the sixth in Zhejiang Province.
Hangzhou Binjiang, on the river’s north side, was the first national high-tech zone in the city and is focused primarily on Internet-related industries. Linjiang will focus on smart manufacturing.
The new zone will feature two business incubators with a total investment of 2.5 billion yuan (US$407 million). The zone will also house research and development facilities for Geely Group and Yulong Motor.
