New hotline open

People touring West Lake can now make a complaint or a suggestion by dialing a 24-hour hotline, the West Lake Scenic Area Administration said.
Workers staffing hotline (0571) 8690-9090 will take notes of people’s complaints and suggestions. The administration will give each caller a reply within seven working days.
The number 8690-9090 sounds like “once you dial, it works, works, works” in Chinese. It’s easy to remember and shows the West Lake management authorities’ commitment to service. A similar hotline service launched in mid-July received more than 500 complaints as of October 31. Nearly 70 percent of the problems mentioned in the complaints have been solved.
The West Lake administration will also form a group of 10 supervisors all selected from hotline callers.
