THE weeklong National Day holiday brought in 15.78 million tourists to Hangzhou, a jump of 11.82 percent from last year. Tourism revenue totaled 11.49 billion yuan (US$1.77 billion), up 16.73 percent year on year.
The city’s tourism industry benefitted from the G20 Summit held a month ago. The West Lake drew 4.38 million visitors during the holiday, becoming the No. 1 tourist attraction in China.
