Nobel laureate agreement
Nobel laureate Finn Kydland signed an agreement with Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics to join its Nobel Economics Prize Work Station last Friday. Kydland, the winner of the 2004 Nobel Economics Prize, plans to cooperate with the university in the area of economics, finance, public management, talent training, international exchange and the construction of the Library of the Nobel Prize in Economics in the long term.
He is the second Nobel laureate to join the work station. Nobel Economics Prize winner Eric Maskin joined the work station last month. So far seven Nobel Prize winners have cooperated with the university.
Maskin came to the university last month to visit the Library of the Nobel Prize in Economics, which is the only approved library in the area by the Nobel Prize Foundation in the world.
“Thirteen years ago I worked in Shanghai and visited Hangzhou as a tourist, and this is the first time for business,” Kydland said.
