Online diagnosis

A hospital in Hangzhou recently launched online medical services for the convenience of patients, especially those recovering from operations or having chronic diseases. The move is expected to ease long queues at the hospital.

Every day between 8am and 9pm, people can log on the website of No. 1 Hospital of Zhejiang University Medical School for remote diagnosis and consulting. The hospital has 124 specialist doctors to answer various questions. The online services are free of charge.

The hospital said people can also receive medical services via their mobile phones after it introduces a mobile app and an official WeChat account.

Patients can also pay medical bills and make appointments with doctors online and have medicine delivered by a designated courier service. Their medical records are saved in the hospital’s cloud server.
