Party chief promoted
Hangzhou Party Secretary Gong Zheng has been appointed deputy Party secretary of Shandong Province. He has served as the city’s Party chief for two years.
Gong, 55, a native of Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, was deputy governor of Zhejiang Province from 2008 to 2012. He held his first job in 1982 and joined the Communist Party of China in April 1985.
He obtained his PhD at Xiamen University, where he was a graduate student in the Department of Public Economics and Finance. Gong will replace the retiring Wang Junmin as deputy Party secretary of Shandong.
