CYCLING around West Lake is popular among both tourists and locals. It’s also one of the best ways to get around because traffic jams in the area are common.
There are more than 80 Hangzhou public bicycle rental sites around the lake. They have more than 1,700 regular bicycles combined. They are free to use for a duration of one hour or less.
Along the northern section of Nanshan Road, there are over 60 private businesses with almost 3,000 bikes available for rent.
