Hangzhou is inviting professional and amateur photographers from around the world to share their pictures at the Hangzhou Citizen Photography Festival from May 10 to 15.
To fit the theme “We are one big family,” the organizer hopes to get 100,000 pictures from Hangzhou residents and 100 pictures from across China. About 100 professional Chinese and foreign photographers will be invited to portray Hangzhou. Photos by amateurs can be submitted via the app (app.kpkpw.com). Selected pictures will be displayed outdoors on Gongchen Bridge over the Grand Canal, and at Yunhe Square, Qiaoxizhi Street and Fan Museum.
Free lectures on photography will be held during the festival. Participants have a chance to make their postcards with their photos and mail them to friends and relatives.
