HANGZHOU tourism authorities adopted two slogans, “Hangzhou, Living Poetry” and its Chinese version, for use in promotional campaigns. The slogans were selected by experts after a survey and public vote, which took about one year.
The English slogan “Hangzhou, Living Poetry” reflects the city’s beautiful scenery, rich heritage and colorful culture. It compares the city to a vivid poem that captivates visitors.
The Chinese slogan “最忆是杭州” (Unforgettable Hangzhou) puts an emphasis on the lasting impression the city has on tourists.
