Province CPI up 1.7%
ZHEJIANG Province's CPI in May increased by 1.7 percent, with the index of its capital city Hangzhou rising 2.3 percent, Statistics Bureau of Zhejiang Province reported this week.
Compared with the same period last year, food prices on average increased by 1.9 percent. Among 16 food products surveyed, three have dropped in price.
The soybean futures market fell by 0.1 percent, the first drop since 2009. Fresh vegetable price declined by 5.5 percent, while pork prices fell 7.3 percent.
