Provincial expressway

An EXPRESSWAY linking Hangzhou, Shaoxing and Taizhou in Zhejiang Province has been approved by the central government and construction is expected to begin this year.
The 162.3-kilometer expressway will start in Hangzhou and pass through Shaoxing, Jinhua and Taizhou. The project will cost about 38.4 billion yuan (US$6.3 billion).
The new expressway will have 10 big bridges, each with a span of more than 100 meters, and six tunnels with a length of over 1,000 meters. There will also be four multi-level overpasses. The expressway will take about four years to build and is expected to open in 2019.
