Qin legend lives on
A Hangzhou-produced film “The Legend of Qin” has become the country’s first 3D martial art animated movie. It started screening nationwide last Friday.
The film is adapted from a television animated series of the same name. The series started in 2007 and is considered one of the best Chinese animation series for teenagers.
Its story is set in the Qin Dynasty (221-206 BC) and is about the adventures of Tian Ming and Shao Yu, two boys who are destined to save the country. The TV series is so popular that dozens of spin-offs have been made.
Film viewers are encouraged to send comments by smartphone while watching the movie. The comments are broadcast on walls besides the screen.
