Qingdao bullet line
PASSENGERS in Hangzhou heading to the Qingdao summer resort in Shandong Province can take direct high-speed trains as of August 1.
It will be the first direct train line from Hangzhou to Qingdao. Previously, passengers had to transfer at Ji'nan, capital of Shandong Province.
Ticket sale for the new route started on Monday with the price ranging from 506 yuan (US$80) to 1,580 yuan. There is one train for the new route every day. The train departs from Hangzhou East Railway Station at 7am and arrives at Qingdao at 2:17pm, while the return train starts at 2:37pm and reaches Hangzhou at 9:20pm.
Along the route, passengers can also visit Taishan Mountain, whichis a UNESCO cultural heritagesite, and Jinan springs.
