Rabies death
A 56-year-old women from Lin'an died of rabies four days after being bitten by a ferret-badger. This is the first fatal case of its kind recorded in Hangzhou this year.
The June statistics of Hangzhou Center for Disease Control and Prevention shows that more than 2,800 people were hurt or bitten by dogs, cats, other pets and wild animals, 400 more than in the previous month.
