A total of 7.01 million people took trains at Hangzhou railway stations during the summer vacation, climbing 23.8 percent compared with the same period of last year.
The newly built Hangzhou East Railway Station saw 3.8 million passengers this summer.
The number of passengers broke the record of daily passenger flow, reaching 134,462 on July 6.
