Rooftop sports ground

MORE than 30 soccer fans, all migrants from Jinhua City in southwestern Zhejiang Province, have built a sports ground on the roof of a shopping mall in Binjiang District after raising 8 million yuan through crowdfunding.
Once completed, the 8,000-square-meter sports ground, named Donglian Sports Park, will have seven soccer fields and two basketball courts atop Zhongnan Shopping Mall.
So far, six soccer fields and one basketball court have been put into use. Workers will also build a bar, a gym, a canteen, training and dance rooms, and a locker room with showers.
These soccer fans all graduated from Jinhua Dongyang Middle School and are working in Hangzhou.
