Scenic spot reopens

Moon over the Peaceful Lake in Autumn, one of the 10 scenic spots around the West Lake, has reopened to the public after three months of renovation. It is one of several renovation projects in the lake area.
Workers are also renovating 25 roads in the city in preparation for the G20 summit to be held here on September 4 and 5.
The top 10 scenic spots date back to the Song Dynasty (960-1279) which moved its capital to Hangzhou. In 1699, Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) emperor Kangxi wrote their poetic names in calligraphy and had them carved on stones. Afterwards, the 10 scenic spots grew more and more popular.
