Smart city boosted

HANGZHOU government has signed an agreement with the Chinese Academy of Engineering for strategic cooperation in Smart City construction.

The two sides will work together on the development of the Internet of Things, cloud computing and big data industries to accelerate the city’s industrial transformation.

“The breakthrough in Hangzhou’s development in the new era lies in the Smart City project,” said Gong Zheng, the Party secretary of Hangzhou.

“The signing of the agreement is a milestone for us. We will engage more academicians in smart city construction in Hangzhou,” said Zhou Ji, chairman of the academy.

At the signing, Hangzhou Mayor Zhang Hongming awarded the Chief Advisor certificate to academician Pan Yunhe, vice chairman of the academy.
