Sports facilities open

More than 560 primary and middle schools have opened their sports facilities to the public free of charge when all classes are over for the day. People can book a slot for one of more than 500 facilities via a mobile app.
About half of the facilities are in downtown districts.
Residents can download Hangzhou Citizen Card app on their smartphones, browse schools that are close to them and then make a reservation to use the sports facilities there.
Currently, schools without student dormitories or evening classes have opened their sports grounds and gyms to the public for three hours during the week, and six hours on Saturday and Sunday and on holidays.
Residents can apply for the Hangzhou Citizen Card at the community service center.
