ABOUT 29 percent of Hangzhou primary and secondary school students are malnourished, which is higher than the provincial average.
The overall obesity rate is 10.36 percent, lower than the provincial average of 13.2 percent. However, the obesity rate of primary students is 14.2 percent.
The anemia rate is 4.8 percent, much lower than the provincial level of 13.2 percent. But the rate among secondary students is 13.8 percent.
The statistics were released on May 20, National Student Nutrition Day.
