Subway set to open
TRIAL operations on Metro Line 1 are likely to begin on October 29, according to a recent Hangzhou government meeting.
The city's Metro operator said the line would operate daily from 6:30am to 8:30pm in the first three months of trial operations. The line is now undergoing tests without passengers.
Eventually, service hours will be extended from 6am to 11pm daily, possibly after six months of trial operations.
The interval between two trains will average about 9.5 minutes.
Passengers will be able to ride the subway for free during the first two weeks of trial operations.
