THE tendering process for the construction of Metro Line 4 linking East Railway Station and Jinjiang Road began on Tuesday.
The subway will intersect with Metro Line 1 at East Railway Station and Jinjiang Station and Metro Line 2 at Qianjiang Road Station.
Its first phase, about 10 kilometers long, will be open by the end of 2014, according to local newspaper.
The whole line will eventually stretch 52.7 kilometers from Sandun Station to Yiqiao Station.
