Talent conference

ABOUT 400 high-level professionals, 30 overseas Chinese student bodies and 18 foreign research teams have been invited to attend the 2016 Zhejiang International Talent Exchange and Project Cooperation Conference in Hangzhou on November 9.

The participants from 33 countries and regions will also exhibit 1,300 projects in areas like information tech­nology, biomedicine, new energy, new materials, environmental protection, advanced manufacturing, cultural and creative industries, modern agri­culture and modern services.

The conference will be held at Hang­zhou International Expo Center. It is expected to witness the signing of 750 projects worth 10.2 billion yuan in investments.

In the past six years, 3,185 overseas professionals and over 100 overseas Chinese student bodies attended the conference and presented 3,678 projects.

In a business plan contest held last year, Wang Mengqiu from Hangzhou won the first prize of 200,000 yuan. Wang also won US$15 million invest­ment from a local company for his invention about a gesture-recognition technology for drones.
