Tales of West Lake

Both Chinese and foreigners are invited to participate in an essay-poetry contest themed 鈥淢y Impression of the West Lake.鈥
Organizers have received about 500 entries since the competition opened last month.
Podareva Anastasia, a Russian student majoring in Chinese language in Hangzhou, submitted a Chinese poem to show her love of the city.
She is known to many Chinese people for participating in the China Poetry Competition on CCTV last year.
The deadline for entries is September 30.
All entries must be original works in Chinese or English.
