Tea and the World expo

THE five-day Hangzhou International Tea Expo will be unveiled on May 18 at the same time as the 23rd Session of the FAO Intergovernmental Group on Tea.
One hundred and twenty representatives from 40 countries and regions have been invited to discuss the promotion of the tea industry under the “Tea and the World” theme. The expo will strive to build itself into an exchange and cooperation platform to link Zhejiang Province with the outside world, while targeting poverty alleviation programs in midwestern parts of China.
This year’s expo will top last year’s in scale, number of participants and the exhibiting tea varieties, according to the organizing committee, which has also cooperated with Alibaba to set up the International Tea E-Commerce Festival and introduce a cultural activities tour.
