HANGZHOU will become a world-leading information technology center, according to a resolution made at the plenary session of the CPC Hangzhou Committee last week.
The resolution said the Hangzhou High-tech Zone in Binjiang District will be positioned as a top-class technology center in the world while the Linjiang National High-tech Zone will be positioned as a leading manufacturing center.
A number of country parks will be built around the city and urban construction will be focused on Qianjiang New Town, Qianjiang Century City and Dajiangdong New Town.
Hangzhou will build and renovate sports facilities in preparation for the 2017 National College Games, 14th FINA World Swimming Championships in 2018 and Asian Games in 2022.
The resolution also said Hangzhou will build a history museum featuring 3D technology and become a global example of the “city of learning.”
