Hangzhou ranked second among China’s 60 most popular tourist cities in 2014, according to a survey by the China Tourism Academy.
Hangzhou jumped from No. 8 in 2013 to No. 2, according to a survey report released by the academy under the National Tourism Administration.
The city’s fast rise was attributed to marked improvement in environment, transportation and services, the report said.
Wuxi was ranked No. 1 while Qingdao, Chengdu and Ningbo rounded out the top five. Suzhou, Huangshan, Chongqing, Xiamen and Zhuhai completed the top 10.
