Tourists flocking in

THE city received 140.59 million domestic and foreign travelers last year and earned 257.2 billion yuan in tourism revenue, up 16.8 percent from the year before, said the city’s tourism officials.
Of the total, 3.63 million visitors were from abroad, up 6.34 percent.
This year, Hangzhou will focus on improving the quality of its tourism products and services, offering more tour packages, and investing more in international marketing and promotion. Meanwhile, the city will participate in tourism exhibitions and conferences in China and abroad to promote itself as a great tourist destination.
