Train travel time cut

Travel time between Hangzhou and Shenyang in northeast China will be cut by one-third by the end of this month as bullet trains will start running on the line between the cities.

Faster connections will also be set up between Hangzhou and Shenzhen in southern China, as the travel time will be reduced by six hours with the operation of high-speed trains.

According to the Shanghai Railway Bureau, which manages train operations in eastern China, high-speed trains will begin operating on the two lines beginning this month.

The trip from Hangzhou to Shenyang, Liaoning Province, will be shortened from 30 hours to 10 hours. And the trip from Hangzhou to Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, will be reduced from 18 hours to 12 hours.

The new bullet trains will depart from Hangzhou East Railway Station to Shenyang and Shenzhen.

The new trains between Hangzhou and Shenyang will stop in Huzhou, Yixing, Liyang, Nanjing, Xuzhou, Jinan, Tianjin, Beidaihe, Jinzhou and Panjin.
