Tunnel construction

CONSTRUCTION of a tunnel under Wenyi Road will begin in September. The four-lane tunnel from Baoshu Road N. to Zijingang Road will stretch 6 kilometers with a designed maximum speed of 60kph.
Upon completion, drivers will be able to travel from Xiasha to Xixi area in 30 minutes. The project is expected to be completed in 2017. Construction will not disturb traffic in the area.
The tunnel will pass through 10 crossroads and five rivers. A ramp will be set up at Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics at the crossing of Fengtan Road.
