Urban renovation plans

HANGZHOU authorities plan to complete the renovation of 178 urban villages before the end of 2020 to raise the living standard of residents.
In Zhuantang community, the renovation of nine villages with 1,579 households has been completed. In Shizi, villagers started to move into new apartments on the original site from Tuesday.
In Wangjiang community, more than 5,000 households are expected to be relocated by end of the year. In addition, 38 companies will also be relocated. After completion, the area with a total area of 1.5 square kilometers will be cleared and roads will be constructed to connect with the East Square of Hangzhou Railway Station.
This year, 22 urban villages will be renovated.
