Water gates

Construction of water gates on the upper reaches of the Beizhi River has kicked off in Fuyang District in the west of the city.
With a total investment of 440 million yuan (US$67 million), the project is part of a comprehensive rectification project launched in March to improve the flood control on the Fuchun River, improve water quality and make it a qualified venue for water sports including canoeing, kayaking and rowing, for the Asian Games in 2022. The project is scheduled to be completed in March 2020.
