West Lake Expo cashes in

A total transaction volume of 10.65 billion yuan was reached during the 24-day 19th West Lake International Expo, according to the expo organizer.
Meanwhile, Hangzhou attracted more than 10 billion yuan in investment from home and US$1 billion from overseas. More than 9 million people from over 70 countries and regions joined 33 key programs during the expo.
The theme exhibition of the expo was the largest event after G20 Summit last year.
With a total exhibition area of 90,000 square meters, it attracted more than 100,000 visitors from 40 countries and regions, and 51 domestic cities to show their unique sceneries and leisure lifestyles.
Among the visitors, 30,000 were professionals, reaching deals worth 580 million yuan.
World Leisure Organization has announced to hold the World Leisure Expo in Hangzhou permanently. The expo will be held once every five years.
