THE CPC Hangzhou Committee and the municipal government published a letter recently thanking the people of Hangzhou for their support of the recent G20 Summit.
“Because of you, hangzhou was able to complete preparations for the summit smoothly and present a glamorous image of hangzhou, a city of history and innovation, to people at home and abroad.
The G20 hang-zhou Summit is the biggest and most influential international meeting China has hosted in recent years,” the letter said. “In the past year, hangzhou residents were actively involved in preparations for the summit, offered advice and suggestions, worked in security patrols and as service volun-teers, and contributed to the city’s appeal,” the letter continued.
“To let local residents feel the benefits of hosting the G20 Summit, we will turn some special measures adopted during the summit into long-term management practices. “The G20 Summit marked a new start for hangzhou to become more open to the world and show it as a city with rich heritage, a vibrant economy, innovation and ecological sustainability,” the letter said.
