Tianshan Middle School won the top prize in a student debate competition in Changning District. The contest attracted 11 teams from local middle and high schools. The judge panel was formed by professors from Fudan University and East China University of Political Science and Law, as well as lawyers from the district’s young lawyers union. Shanghai School for the Blind finished second with Shanghai Xijiao School coming in third. Qiao Xuedi from Shanghai Xijiao School won best debater. The two-month competition started in mid October. The topics covered education and philosophy.
