Peking Opera program a hit at local communities

A SERIES of Peking Opera performances were held in Changning District’s Folk Customs Culture Center and the Xinhua Community to mark China’s annual October holiday.
This year’s events, organized in conjunction with a local culture company named Paiqi, were well received by attendees.
This year’s program contained more performances than last year. All performers were well dressed, exquisitely capturing characters in some of China’s most well-known stories, say organizers. Many audience members also jumped onto the stage after each show to acknowledge the performers and take photos with them, they explained.
