Patients at a remote area in southwest China’s Yunnan can now get medical assistance from doctors in Shanghai, as Tong Ren Hospital’s MDT clinic was connected with Jinping County in Yunnan’s Honghe area. The remote medical consultation center includes video communication, clinical software and videophone. In late 2014, Tong Ren Hospital signed a deal with two hospitals in Honghe, and since then it has dispatched doctors to train their counterparts in Yunnan. It also donated medical equipment to the Yunnan hospitals.
