A garden for all seasons on the Xinliuhe riverside

LIJIANG Farm Garden, on the banks of the Xinliuhe River, offers for leisure, entertainment, catering, tourism and vacation services.
All year round you can smell the fragrance of fruit and enjoy the beauty of its flowers and scenery. In 2011 it was awarded a prize as a "National Leisure Agriculture and Rural Tourism Three-star Park."
From late March to early April, the park becomes an ocean of flowers as acres of peach, pear and rape flowers start to bloom. Visitors can also taste the honey from hives in the orchard.
In summer, the park becomes a popular resort.
Visitors can sit on the banks of the river enjoying the view or having fun of fishing.
A large wine cellar under construction is due to be completed next year. At that time you can taste the wine in the cool cellar in summer.
Harvest
Autumn is the busiest season of the year as trees with more than 50 types of fruit are ready to be harvested.
Peaches, pears, persimmon and grapes, jinlingzi, a fruit that almost became extinct in Shanghai, can be found here.
In winter, the park is quieter but still offers some fantastic views, especially if it snows.
To date, there are 15 villager buildings in the Lijiang Farm Garden. Old agricultural tools, such as windmills, weaving machines and spinning wheels, are displayed. Visitors can experience a farmer's life by taking part in daily routines such as brewing rice wine, grinding bean curd, making rice cakes, feeding livestock and working in the vegetable fields.
Last but not the least, visitors should try the organic farm food here. Everything on the restaurant table is from the park, including chicken, fish, pork, beef, lamb, vegetables and bean curd. People can also purchase some speciality products.
How to get there: Drive along the Jiazhu Highway northward until to the end. The farm is at the intersection of Jiazhu Highway and Zhuyue Road.
