Artwork for play with in hands
NEARLY 1,000 artworks for play with in hands by famous artists and craftsmen such as Han Tianheng and Li Hongyuan are being exhibited at Wutong Art Gallery in Jiangqiao Town.
The exhibition includes four parts. They are antiques, works by contemporary masters, traditional handcrafts and daily handicrafts.
Han Tianheng contributed seals, bamboo carvings and porcelain plates to the exhibition while Li Hongyuan brought prized zisha, or purple clay, teapots.
As artworks for play with in hands, most of the exhibits are small in size, however, they all have a long history and a large number of art forms. The items range in value from 80 yuan (US$13) to 500,000 yuan. The exhibition is free and ends in March.
