Auto-testing center expands, upgrades services and scope
A car crash test lab went into operation at the National Center of Supervision and Inspection on Motor Vehicles Products Quality (Shanghai) in Anting, Jiading District.
This third party auto test service institute, which was established in Anting seven years ago, not only boasts all-round car crash test technology, but also meets international standards such as Euro-NCAP.
Its business income has grown at an average rate of 30 percent a year, and its business reach has been extended to the Yangtze Delta region, Guangdong and Liaoning provinces, and to overseas markets in Europe, America and the Middle East.
As an important inspection service provider, the center has focused on meeting market demand as its first priority. Since its establishment, it has undergone two phases of reconstruction to upgrade labs, systems and technologies. It can conduct as many as 99 auto inspections regulated by the state, including product certification, quality control and inspection for export and import.
With its advanced equipment, the center also attaches great emphasis on attracting high-quality talent as it seeks to groom a wider pool of employees.
The center's work has been recognized by foreign institutes, such as JARI, DEKPA and GSO, as well as by the research labs of General Motors, Volkswagen and Fiat.
The center's activities also include surveys of the international test market, and cooperation with multinational companies such as SGS and Intertek to provide inspection, testing, certification and verification services.
The center currently does quality-control tests for the Ford Motor Co in China and offers technological services for companies such as Siemens, Delphi and Bosch.
