Avoid these wedding taboos
DURING the wedding in the old days, there were not only jubilant customs, but also some taboos should be avoided. From today's point of view, some are practical, some are ridiculous, and some are just plain funny.
Don't wear old shoes: The bride should never wear old shoes. All wedding shoes, embroidered shoes and evening shoes are supposed to be brand new.
Don't sleep alone: Covered by new pillows, new quilts and other new bedclothes, the perfectly decorated wedding bed is not to be used before the wedding day. In case that the groom really has nowhere else to sleep, he can let an underage boy, best if he is born in the Year of the Dragon, to sleep with him. Therefore, pregnant women should be absent when the bride leaves.
