Baby carriage project takes Team One to the final
Team One from Jiading No. 1 Middle School won the Renaissance Award at the Shanghai stage of this year’s Destination Imagination challenge and represented the city at the national finals held from December 4 to 7 in north China’s Hebei Province.
The world final takes place next May in Knoxville, Tennessee.
The Shanghai event attracted 165 teams who took part in various challenges.
Jing Haoxiang, a member of the winning team, said he was delighted with the opportunity to take part in the national final.
Two months ago, Jing got together with a group of six other students with the intention of competing in the Shanghai event.
They assembled a battery-powered vehicle using an old baby carriage.
