Brave residents avert danger as fire breaks out

HUANG Tianhui was chatting with friends at his home in the Hongxiang Community of Nanxiang Town at around 10pm on March 22 when someone cried out for help after a fire had broken out.
Huang and his two friends rushed out of the house and saw that the bicycle shed was on fire.
Huang connected a hose to the running water and tried to douse the flaming battery bike but the fire by this time was too fierce and several other battery bikes were on fire, too. Then he found other two hoses and asked his friends to douse the fire.
Noticing that the back of a car was also on fire and the nearby power transformer house was in danger, Huang spouted the water to the car and then rushed into the bicycle shed, pulling out the bikes. Residents living in the building also rushed out to help fight the fire.
After over 10 minutes' efforts, the fire was finally put out before the firefighters arrived, but Huang's hands were badly burned by the hot bikes.
