Brose opens regional headquarters in Jiading

IN the first six months of this year, about ten new corporate headquarters and technology centers have either opened in Jiading or confirmed moves to the district.
Brose Automotive Technology & Enterprise Management (China) Ltd opened an office in Anting Town, and it will serve as its headquarters for China and coordination base for the Asia-Pacific region. The office continues a long association between the company and the town.
As early as 11 years ago, German-based Brose, a maker of advanced electronic auto systems, set up Shanghai Brose Auto Parts Ltd in Anting. However, the company was required to relocate when Metro Line 11 went into construction several years ago.
During the process of relocation, the local government provided support to the company, helping it with finding a new site and construction of a new building. The company in Jiading was upgraded to a regional headquarters.
Jiading officials were also instrumental in helping Fiat Powertrain Technologies set up a workshop in the district. Later, Italian-based Fiat set up a regional headquarters in Jiading as well.
