THE recent “California Center” investment program in Jiading Industrial Zone was the first time California had organized so many agricultural and commercial enterprises to visit China with the aim of more opportunities of cooperation with Chinese enterprises. Fei Xiaomei, Jiading’s vice district director, attended the opening ceremony. California Center is an investment platform backed by the state government of California to promote cooperation between California and China in products, services, technology and intellectual property. So far it has two experience centers — in Shanghai and Jiangsu Province’s Wuxi — with more centers planned around the country.
