Court punishes dog poisoners
TWO brothers have been put behind bars by Jiading District People's Court for poisoning dogs to death.
The elder brother got the sentence of 3 1/2 years while the younger was given a three-year sentence with a three-year reprieve.
The brothers, surnamed Zhang, went to Loutang Village last August and threw poisoning food to a family's two dogs. The animals died just 15 minutes after they had eaten the food.
The dogs' owner saw what was happening and censured them. Fellow villagers caught the two and took them to the police station.
