Developers use the latest technology to create greater comfort for residents
REAL estate developers are placing more emphasis on the quality of life and making use of technological innovation to compete in the current market.
Local projects feature facilities such as an artificial wetland, underground heat pumps and outer wall sunshade systems.
Residences with water views are usually popular but artificial lakes often cause environmental problems due to poor water circulation.
Luzhou Shagri Garden in Xuhang Town, however, has no such problems. It employed German technology in the installation of two water circulation systems at the north and south ends of its 5,000 square meter artificial lake.
Developers have also introduced aquatic plants and fish to keep the water clean.
Under each villa there are seven to 10 pipes connected to a heat pump system which provides enough energy for heating, air-conditioners and hot water.
“I bought the house just because of this geothermal system,” said a resident surnamed Wu. “It can keep my house warm in winter and cool in summer, and it’s energy-saving.”
Lu Jingtian, the project manager, said the underground heat pump technology was introduced from that applied in the Italy Pavilion in 2010 Shanghai Expo.
The garden also benefits from Spain’s dust-removal technology and a central ventilation system from Canada.
Xincheng Mansion has been installed with a sunshade system outside the windows of every apartment to keep out strong sunlight. Residents can control the system to adjust the temperature inside their homes.
